Safety & compliance

Safety and compliance

Built to the standard a Prime Contractor’s pre-qualification reviewer applies, because that is exactly who it was built for.

ProCur runs a controlled health, safety and environment management system, not a binder. The programme comprises 96 documents across 443 pages, held under a records and document control procedure with revision numbers and a defined review cycle. It is organised into seven sets (health and safety management, WHMIS and hazardous materials, workforce and training, commercial and outreach, business development, and yard and facility readiness), and the first set is the one a pre-qualification reviewer asks for first. We can supply the index on request and the documents themselves under pre-qualification submission.

Safe Job Procedures

The high-energy tasks are procedurally controlled

  • SJP-01 · Mobile shearing. The highest-energy task we perform. 100-foot (30-metre) exclusion zone during active cutting.
  • SJP-02 · Excavator and material handler operation. Governs the Liebherr 944 and carries the yard safe-zone rule.
  • SJP-03 · Oxy-fuel cutting and torching. Hot work: closed-container rule and a 30-minute fire watch.
  • SJP-04 · Roll-off bin loading and load securement. Overhead power line control and load securement.
  • SJP-05 · On-lease work. Applies SJP-01 through SJP-04 on a Prime Contractor or operator lease.

Every worker signs an acknowledgement covering SJP-01 through SJP-05 before the work starts.
